For the Rest of this Week: Keep Calling! Keep Opposing!

“At the end of the day … families are going to be told what doctors they can choose, what treatments they deserve, and what medicines they can receive all by an unelected bureaucrat. We think that’s a scary thought.”
— Congressman Kevin Brady (R-TX)

The U.S. Personal Health Care System Must Be Protected

Senior citizens, beware! Not your doctor but appointed councils would decide everyone’s care. It will be rationed. The determinants will be cost, patient age and value or burden to society.

ACT THIS WEEK:
Ask Georgia Delegation to Oppose Health Care Bills

H.R. 3200 America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009
S. ______
(no number yet) Affordable Health Choices Act

Health care Bill Outlaws Private Insurance, Benefits Illegal Aliens

Provisions in the 1,081-page H.R. 3200 will cost an estimated $1.5 trillion and force 114 million Americans to lose their current health insurance. The bills, as now written, would…

Outlaw private individual health coverage. H.R. 3200, page 16, section 102, kills the market for private individual coverage, since none could be written after a public option becomes law.

Mandate taxpayer funding of abortion on a massive scale. H.R. 3200 authorizes the appointment of a new committee to recommend minimum benefits all insurers must offer. If abortion is not explicitly excluded, U.S. taxpayers will pay for hundreds of thousands per year.

Expand Medicaid and exempt illegal aliens from mandates. The current Senate bill expands Medicaid and loosens tax credit eligibility requirements. Of 46 million U.S. residents, 15 – 22 percent are illegal aliens without health coverage. They won’t have to buy the health insurance, though it’ll be mandatory for U.S. citizens. Illegals will still get taxpayer-funded health care at clinics, emergency rooms, etc. But, lawful Americans will be fined if they don’t buy insurance.

Raise taxes and destroy jobs. H.R. 3200 puts a 5.4 percent surtax on incomes over $280,000, proposes over $800 billion in new tax hikes, and will destroy up to 4.7 million more jobs.

Create multiple bureaucracies to ration care. The President’s hired bureaucrats will use a “cost effective” standard to determine how to ration, treat, prohibit or intervene in patient care.
