Hate Crime Vote Could Come Just After Midnight

A vote on S. 909, Hate Crime Legislation, could come in the wee hours of Friday morning, July 17th, as an attachment to the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2010.

After hearing about that plan Wednesday, Senator McCain “exploded” on the Senate floor, accusing Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of placing more value on hate crimes bill than on defense!

But that didn’t change a thing. The vote on attaching S. 909 to the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2010 is scheduled for sometime after midnight, when there may be very few senators on the floor, probably, as planned.
