APA Defines “Transgender” & “Transsexual”

Radio Commentary, 90.7, 91.7 New Life FM, August 28, 2015 – By Sue Ella Deadwyler

Last week I mentioned that activists have transitioned in recent years from the term transvestite, which meant cross-dressing, to the current term of “transgender.” Both terms defy the fact that God created male and female and formed their bodies differently for specific purposes. The emergence of the term “transgender” is another effort to deny the Creator, the One True God.

According to the American Psychiatric Association (APA), transgender is an umbrella term for anyone whose gender identity, gender expression or behavior does not conform to the typical associations with the sex they were “assigned at birth” (APA’s term), which is a misnomer, since the sexual identity of males and females is a built-in feature of the body.

Let me further interrupt the APA with this question. If it were possible that sex were “assigned at birth,” who “assigns” it – the obstetrician or the baby’s father or mother, friends and relatives or population control officials? Of course not! Sexual identity is not an assignment; it’s an organic physiological fact determined at conception. Continue reading

States Ban Conversion Therapy for Kids

Radio Commentary, 90.7, 91.7 New Life FM, August 21, 2015 – By Sue Ella Deadwyler

All of us should read Republican, Democrat and Libertarian Party platforms, because they explain the position of most candidates and how they will vote on particular issues. But also you should study the Homosexual Platform of 1972 that could influence candidates in all parties.

The homosexual platform shows how many goals they’ve met already, and what they’re trying to do now. Such as, they want states to (1) repeal all laws prohibiting transvestitism and cross-dressing; (2) repeal all laws governing the age of sexual consent; (3) repeal all laws restricting the sex or number of individuals in a marriage unit; and (4) extend legal benefits of marriage to all individuals that cohabit, regardless of sex, age or numbers.

They’ve progressed from their 1972 homosexual goal that would grant transvestites the right to cross-dress to their current position of promoting transgender identities so aggressively they’re trying to squelch all opposition. But beyond the quieting of opposition, states are bowing to their demands and passing laws to prohibit any attempt to counsel children against alternate lifestyles. Such strategies trample the constitutional right of Christians to express, act upon and share moral positions throughout the Bible. Such unconstitutional repression of free speech, freedom of association, and religious freedom has caused job-loss and view-point discrimination in several states. Result: children are shielded from the benefits of Christian counseling. Continue reading

Law Ignored in Sanctuary Cities

Radio Commentary, 90.7, 91.7 New Life FM, August 14, 2015 – By Sue Ella Deadwyler

More and more lawlessness is emerging in the United States. Recent events emphasize the horrible results of giving illegal aliens sanctuary, even to the point of shielding habitual criminal aliens from deportation. Unfortunately, it’s become common practice for cities, counties, communities and churches to protect illegals that, seemingly, cross into and out of the United States at will and easily find sanctuary – shelter, provision, and protection from deportation – even if they commit crimes, ranging from misdemeanors to murder.

“Sanctuary cities” is the term for cities, counties, or states that protect illegal aliens from deportation. Officials of such locales refuse to help federal agents identify and take into custody illegal aliens, including those that remain in the U.S. after their visa expires. The recent death of two women, who were murdered by illegal aliens sheltered in sanctuary cities, spotlighted the gravity of the situation.

On July 1st Kathryn Steinle was gunned-down as she and her dad walked side-by-side on the San Francisco pier. She was only 32 when she fell at her father’s side, looked up at him and said, “Help me, dad.” Those were her last words after being shot by an illegal alien criminal with seven felons on his rap sheet and five deportations from the United States. The sanctuary city of San Francisco had released him from jail, but ignored orders to notify federal officials that he was back on the street. Continue reading

The First Church of Cannabis, Inc.

Radio Commentary, 90.7, 91.7 New Life FM, August 7, 2015 – By Sue Ella Deadwyler

Before me is a copy of an official IRS document dated May 21, 2015. It is addressed to The First Church of Cannabis, Inc., Indianapolis, Indiana, in response to paperwork filed by Bill Levin, who founded the church as a test to Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) that Governor Mike Pence signed into law March 26th.

It’s the standard reply to applicants awarded Federal Income tax exemption under IRS Code section 501 (c) (3). In addition, this applicant received public charity status and is authorized to receive tax deductible bequests, devices, transfers or gifts under three other sections of the Code. Therefore, contributors may claim tax deductions for donations under section 170 of the federal Code.

Levin explained it this way, “You see, if I would argue that under RFRA, as long as you can show that reefer is part of your religious practices, you got a pretty good shot of getting off scot-free. Remember, under RFRA, the state has to articulate a compelling interest in preventing you from smoking pot. I argue they can’t.” Continue reading
