ALERT: July 24th, Run-Off Election in Georgia

On June 29 th , the secretary of state reminded voters that polling places in Georgia counties would open Monday, July 2 nd for early voting in the July 24 th primary run-off election. Polls were closed for July 4 th , but will be open weekdays through July 20 th , at times and locations indicated by each district.

Ballots will differ according to party and district and some may include run-off candidates for Congress or judges, as well. Registered voters that did not vote in the primary or voted non-partisan are eligible to vote in either party’s run-off election.

Republicans have run-off candidates for governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state and six state House districts – 19, 36, 907, 102, 105, and 141. Democrats have run-offs for U.S. House districts 6 and 7, the state school superintendent, and two state House districts – 111 and 144. Continue reading →

Mike, The Donald’s V-P

Mike Pence is a seasoned politician, who knows his way around Washington as a senator and the governor of Indiana. His military veteran dad operated a gas station in Columbus, Indiana, to support his wife and six children, who were reared in the Catholic faith.

When Mike was in fifth grade his “booming” voice “blew away” the audience during an oratorical contest with older sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students. After finishing high school in 1977, Pence earned a history degree at Hanover College in 1981 and a law degree from McKinney School of Law five years later.

This is how he tells it: “I grew up on the front row of the American dream. My grandfather immigrated to this country, and I was raised in a small town in Southern Indiana in a big family with a cornfield in the backyard. Although we weren’t really a political family, [my heroes] were President John F. Kennedy and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I went off to college and had largely walked away from the faith …. The Sleeping Giant Woke Up

This week we witnessed a first-class, last-minute miracle by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who demonstrated such absolute precision that only He could have pulled it off.

There has never been an election like the one we just had, and there might never be another one like it. The previous voting record set when 3.9 million ballots were cast in 2008 was broken Tuesday, as 74 percent of Georgia’s 6.6 million registered voters went to the polls. When all votes were counted in Georgia, Donald Trump had received 2,068,623 (51.3 %) to Hillary Clinton’s 1,837,300 (45.6 %), an outcome that stunned those who thought Clinton’s election was inevitable, but encouraged those who believe Trump is the “last hope for America!” The numbers are firm and Clinton conceded, but the count won’t be official until the state canvass is certified.

At age 70, Donald Trump is the oldest person elected to a first term as President of the United States. When he’s inaugurated January 20, 2017, he will be 70 years, seven months and seven days old, according to the Jewish calendar. The Conservative Case for Trump

During the last few months of her life, Phyllis Schlafly wrote The Conservative Case for Trump. Its scheduled release was September 6th, which, providentially, was the day after her death at age 92.

In December 2015 she described Donald Trump as “the last hope for America,” because, “He will fight for the issues that we really care about and are very hot at the present time, such as the immigration issue. I don’t see anyone else who’s eager to fight.”

Eagle Forum founder Phyllis Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump on-stage during his 2016 St. Louis rally. She reasoned that “he couldn’t be co-opted by the establishment – the big business types.” Commenting further she said, “Because he’s not doing what he’s told. They like people to do what they’re told.”

Donald Trump promised to appoint conservatives to the U.S. Supreme Court. His economic plan could spark economic revival like the 1980s Reagan boom. His defense of the First Amendment would guarantee freedom of speech and religion. His plans for defense and foreign policy could cause terrorists to retreat world-wide. Continue reading →
