APA Defines “Transgender” & “Transsexual”

Radio Commentary, 90.7, 91.7 New Life FM, August 28, 2015 – By Sue Ella Deadwyler

Last week I mentioned that activists have transitioned in recent years from the term transvestite, which meant cross-dressing, to the current term of “transgender.” Both terms defy the fact that God created male and female and formed their bodies differently for specific purposes. The emergence of the term “transgender” is another effort to deny the Creator, the One True God.

According to the American Psychiatric Association (APA), transgender is an umbrella term for anyone whose gender identity, gender expression or behavior does not conform to the typical associations with the sex they were “assigned at birth” (APA’s term), which is a misnomer, since the sexual identity of males and females is a built-in feature of the body.

Let me further interrupt the APA with this question. If it were possible that sex were “assigned at birth,” who “assigns” it – the obstetrician or the baby’s father or mother, friends and relatives or population control officials? Of course not! Sexual identity is not an assignment; it’s an organic physiological fact determined at conception. Continue reading

States Ban Conversion Therapy for Kids

Radio Commentary, 90.7, 91.7 New Life FM, August 21, 2015 – By Sue Ella Deadwyler

All of us should read Republican, Democrat and Libertarian Party platforms, because they explain the position of most candidates and how they will vote on particular issues. But also you should study the Homosexual Platform of 1972 that could influence candidates in all parties.

The homosexual platform shows how many goals they’ve met already, and what they’re trying to do now. Such as, they want states to (1) repeal all laws prohibiting transvestitism and cross-dressing; (2) repeal all laws governing the age of sexual consent; (3) repeal all laws restricting the sex or number of individuals in a marriage unit; and (4) extend legal benefits of marriage to all individuals that cohabit, regardless of sex, age or numbers.

They’ve progressed from their 1972 homosexual goal that would grant transvestites the right to cross-dress to their current position of promoting transgender identities so aggressively they’re trying to squelch all opposition. But beyond the quieting of opposition, states are bowing to their demands and passing laws to prohibit any attempt to counsel children against alternate lifestyles. Such strategies trample the constitutional right of Christians to express, act upon and share moral positions throughout the Bible. Such unconstitutional repression of free speech, freedom of association, and religious freedom has caused job-loss and view-point discrimination in several states. Result: children are shielded from the benefits of Christian counseling. Continue reading

Mystery: What Happened to Kendrick Johnson’s Organs?

There may be no mystery to solve, but the case reminded me of the 2008 change in Georgia’s organ donor law that passed with little or no publicity then and now. Questions about this case:

Q. What happened to Kendrick Johnson’s internal organs?
The GBI said they were put in the body after the autopsy and were therein when it went to a funeral home.

Q. Is it customary to use newspaper to fill body cavities left by organ removal?
Ordinarily, more appropriate substances are used to fill cavities, but it’s not illegal to use newspapers.

Q. When were the newspapers found in Kendrick Johnson’s body?
After exhumation, in a second autopsy a private expert found newspapers stuffed in the body and skull.

On January 14th, Valdosta’s WTXL reported the death of Kendrick Johnson, a 17-year-old high school athlete whose body was found January 11th at Lowndes High School. County officials said he got stuck in a mat at the school’s old gym and accidentally suffocated to death. A GBI autopsy found no death-causing injury, but officials promised to perform additional tests.

On October 10, 2013 the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported findings of a private pathologist the Johnsons hired to perform another autopsy, made possible by an exhumation order. After his independent autopsy, forensic expert Dr. William Anderson reported on August 15th that the cause of death was a fatal blunt force trauma to the right neck and soft tissue near the carotid artery. The blow appeared to be non-accidental and “consistent with inflicted injury.” WXIA added, “Dr. Anderson said when he opened Johnson’s body, it was stuffed full of newspapers.”

As of October 9th, the Lowndes High School had not released the video of Johnson’s last moments at school. However, CNN obtained a 15-minute-video and nearly 700 photographs taken by sheriff’s investigators in Lowndes County. Kendrick’s parents asked the Justice Department to get involved, but they declined. U.S. Attorney Michael Moore in Macon has monitored the case but has not indicated what he will do. The Johnsons are preparing a lawsuit requesting a coroner’s inquest, hoping to change Kendrick’s manner of death from accidental to homicide on his death certificate, to pave the way for reopening a criminal investigation.

Transgender Insurance for Students

Radio Commentary, 90.7, 91.7 New Life FM, October 11, 2013 – By Sue Ella Deadwyler

Good morning, Jim. Since “gender identity” was added to the state’s non-discrimination law, the Massachusetts Department of Education requires all schools to accept students’ preferred identity and let them choose which bathroom and locker room to use. While the law may not have required such drastic changes, it’s certainly been interpreted that way.

In August 2013 Rhode Island’s Brown University student health insurance began covering sex change operations for students that want them, although the campus Director of Insurance and Purchasing reported in February that sexual reassignment surgeries, hormone therapy and other services cost as much a $50,000.

The University of Iowa is the first public college to put a transgender check box alongside male and female check boxes on admission applications that include a new question: “Do you identify with the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) Community?” to register students’ sexual behaviors.
