Marriage

Radio Commentary, 90.7, 91.7 New Life FM, August 1, 2014 – By Sue Ella Deadwyler

Until now, the United States has never had a president who would give foreign aid only to nations agreeing to promote homosexuality.  Never in history has a U.S. secretary of state announced to her staff, “It’s okay to be gay,” but a recent secretary of state used her “stately” role to say just that.  Never has there been a U.S. tax-payer-funded refugee center, specifically, for foreigners claiming variant sexual orientations, but there’s one in Chicago now.

Never have so many decisions of voters been reversed by unauthorized officials posing as law-makers!  Now, almost routinely, judges abandon their duty to determine the constitutionality of laws.  Instead, they assume a legislative role to drastically transform U.S. culture.  Their current over-ride of voters in the redefinition of marriage portends a deathblow to cultural stability. They’re Here!

Radio Commentary, 90.7, 91.7 New Life FM, July 25, 2014 – By Sue Ella Deadwyler

On July 24th, after Governor Nathan Deal learned from his staff that 1,154 unaccompanied children had been dumped in Georgia, he immediately shot off a letter to President Obama. This is part of that letter:

“This came as a complete shock to me as the governor of this state. I’m sure it will also shock the local communities around the state where these individuals currently reside. It is unconscionable that your administration failed to pick up the phone, email or send a letter to my office to inform us that these children were being sent to our communities … that must provide support to these children and families as they await … adjudication of their immigration status. Mr. President, we do not know where these children are being sent, how long they will reside in our state or who they are even residing with while they are in our state.”

Those 1,145 illegal aliens were released in Georgia between January 1 and June 30, 2014. Since they arrive announced and details are sketchy, it’s entirely possible they were dropped off in the dead of night as, reportedly, was done by buses to Terrell Middle School in Houston. Continue reading

Freedom of Religion & Hobby Lobby

Radio Commentary, 90.7, 91.7 New Life FM, July 18, 2014 – By Sue Ella Deadwyler

Good morning, Jim.  Nineteen days ago, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld religious freedom pertaining to limited sections of Obamacare. The court ruled that Hobby Lobby and other privately owned businesses that object to paying for abortion-causing contraceptives or sterilization are not required to pay for those services. It’s important to know that Hobby Lobby’s health coverage DOES pay for 16 contraceptives mandated by Obamacare, but does NOT pay for the four “morning-after pills” that may induce abortion soon after conception.  In this case, the court upheld religious freedom in the workplace, despite constant pressure to redefine religious liberty as “freedom to worship” at home or at church, but not in public.

Hobby Lobby CEO David Green explained, “This legal challenge has always remained about one thing and one thing only: the right of our family businesses to live out our sincere and deeply held religious convictions as guaranteed by the law and the Constitution. Business owners should not have to choose between violating their faith and violating the law.” Continue reading

llegals Warehoused in the U.S.

Radio Commentary, 90.7, 91.7 New Life FM, July 11, 2014 – By Sue Ella Deadwyler

Good morning, Jim. How far is it from Honduras or Guatemala or El Salvadore to the United States and how did all those alien children get here without getting lost or kidnapped or dying along the way? How did they get past the southern and northern borders of Mexico and why didn’t Mexico stop them?

It’s inconceivable that thousands and thousands of illegal aliens of all ages, simultaneously, decided to leave for the Promised Land without strategic prompting and provision from someone, somewhere. If they were spirited into the United States without a calculated, planned strategy to come to the “land of plenty,” it’s a modern-day miracle that outshines the wilderness journey of Moses and the Israelites.

40,000 illegal alien women with children and 57,000 unaccompanied alien children have entered this country since last October1st; 90,000 are expected this year; and 150,000 are expected in 2015, with no end in sight. Although they don’t qualify as refugees, the Homeland Security Act of 2008 is being used to direct them into the Health and Human Services Office of Refugee Resettlement that currently houses them in a minimum of nine locations, including at least three military bases, with plans for unlimited numbers of additional facilities, such as the Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes that has been asked to accept an unreported number of them.
