Choose: DOS, DOD, Both or Neither

I’m always puzzled when a “Day of Silence” (DOS) is observed in public schools … and SOME private schools, as well. The DOS that began as a tiny protest 20 years ago has become a nation-wide promotion of homosexuality, commonly represented by the letters LGBT, meaning lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transsexual. Recently, activists added QQIA to expand the definition to include queer (their word), questioning, intersex, and allies of alternate lifestyles.

The DOS is an annual effort to mainstream alternate lifestyles to students and educators during an, otherwise, regular school day. This year it’s scheduled for Friday April 15th, as a time for participating students and teachers to openly demonstrate support for homosexuality and all its variations. The school’s Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) usually sponsors the project. Does your child’s school have a GSA club? Will the DOS be observed in your child’s school?

If so, please remind the principal that a DOS violates a specific Georgia law that authorizes only one minute of silence PER DAY for student meditation. But the LGBTQQIA promotion silences participating students and teachers for an entire day.

The goal of LGBT activists was summed-up on a tee-shirt distributed by GSA clubs at a “Coming-Out Day” party in 2011. On the tee-shirt were these commands: Change attitudes; change behaviors; change directions; change lives; change policies; be an ally; be the change. War on Traditional Morality goes “Full Speed Ahead!”

Today ends the first week of this legislative session that convened with a back-breaking workload of bills from last session. It wouldn’t be so bad if the bills were about issues that don’t mean much, whether they pass or fail. But, that’s not the case!

Schools have become a major battlefield where the vicious war on morality is waged and is being intensified through the legislative process. Last session, Representative Keisha Waites introduced H.B. 40 to force public and private schools to give sexual orientation, gender, and gender identity civil rights status in instances of bullying. Non cooperative schools would suffer the consequences. The problem is: the definition of bullying has been expanded to include any negative comment to anyone.

If H.B. 40 were to pass, all public schools and all private schools would be forced to discard life-long policies that support traditional morality and replace them with blatant affirmation of alternate lifestyles. If that were to happen, students would lose their freedom of speech. They couldn’t say anything negative about any lifestyle.

Also last year, H.B. 142 was introduced by Representative Simone Bell. It would penalize schools that refuse to adopt pro-homosexual policies. The penalty outlined in her bill would be to withhold scholarship money from any school that would not implement the change. Continue reading

From Health Ed to Perversion

When the education establishment decided to teach situation ethics instead of absolute values, the change came through new regulations, school policies, curriculum content, and new courses. Those changes affect everything students are taught, but the most dramatic culture change occurred in sex education, which has been thoroughly corrupted, and parental rights have been trampled.

Originally, health education was added to the curriculum to guide boys and girls through puberty by explaining how the human body matures into adulthood. However, atheism quickly filled the void left when absolutes were rejected. Soon health education morphed into sex education that first taught students to reserve sexual activity until marriage. The focus, then, was on abstinence, until someone decided children have a right to be sexually active, regardless of their age or laws or morality. So, students were taught to practice “safe sex,” then “safer sex.”

Not content with that progress, the powers-that-be decided to provide trips to abortion clinics for kids whose safe-sex method failed, and all would be well. No one would tell mom or dad. To further their agenda, homosexual activists convinced the education establishment to include lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) instruction in sex education that, already, had become courses in sexuality training, instead of information about maturing into adulthood and the process of reproduction.
