Will You Vote Conservative or Progressive (Liberal)?

Good morning, Jim. Have you heard the new label for politicians? Most of us say we’re conservative or liberal. The media calls liberals “progressives” and others call them “leftists.” Whatever they’re called, liberals want bigger government and more government control over every part of our lives, including our money.

Liberals, who now call themselves “progressives,” want taxpayer-funded legalized abortion. They want to censor teacher-lead or student-lead prayer in schools and school events. They want children of all ages to be trained in comprehensive, value-neutral, how-to sex education, that includes field trips to local clinics for introduction to safe-sex equipment. They support same-sex marriage, gun control and protection for obscenity and pornography through a twisted interpretation of the First Amendment. They’ve decided the U.S. Constitution is a “living” document that accommodates their outlandish liberal strategies, global government and international law.

But, conservatives believe in natural law and absolutes. Conservatives know some things are right and some things are wrong. Conservatives believe in states’ rights, limited government, hard work and personal property rights, individual responsibility, low taxes and traditional values. Conservatives support religious freedom, prayer in the classroom and don’t shy away from praying in Jesus’ name.

Conservatives oppose abortion, believe in chastity and sexual abstinence until marriage, recognize the difference between men and women/boys and girls and reject the notion of same-sex marriage. They respect American history, believe in patriotism and expect a strong national defense, but completely reject global government.

Among conservatives, you’ll find American patriots. They love the United States. They respect the American flag, the Constitution, Declaration of Independence and defend freedom wherever they can. Many people say, “This is the most important election of our lifetime,” and they are absolutely right! Undoubtedly, the survival of our constitutional government is, actually, at stake. When you vote next Tuesday, please vote for candidates who love our country, actively support our founding documents and will preserve state sovereignty as it’s protected in the Constitution of the United States.
