Leaders Matter, and So Does Prayer!
Radio Commentary, 90.7, 91.7 New Life FM, June 3, 2016 – By Sue Ella Deadwyler
In his first inaugural address, the U.S. president said he would transform this country. When that statement was made, most of us didn’t know what he meant, but we know now.
He hired dozens of czars and strategically stationed each one throughout the federal government to oversee the planned transformation, and they work 24/7 to get it done.
Since much of the change is funneled through public schools and woven into the curriculum, soon the entire culture will be transformed from Biblical standards to a nation of situation ethics where “anything goes,” and truth is ignored.
The administration and the educational system are working in tandem to change culture through federal mandates and NEA policies that substitute wrong for right and force compliance. Unfortunately, their success is transforming this country and the world!Several NEA resolutions mandate transgender accommodations in public schools. We hear about those resolutions, because they’re publicized. But we don’t always hear about their quiet under-the-radar, nation-wide implementation by strategically positioned government personnel and skewed interpretations of the constitution and the law.
For example: In January 2010 the White House appointed the first transgender person to a staff position in the executive branch of government. Before becoming a senior adviser in the Commerce Department, that 49-year-old man had six surgeries to transition from male to female, and was named one of YWCA’s “Women on the Move” in 2004.
When hired to serve in the White House on August 19, 2015, the first openly trans-woman was 29 years old and seven months later was promoted to the White House staff as senior liaison to LGBT in the Office of Presidential Personnel. The trans-woman, born a male in Honduras, grew up in Massachusetts after his adoption by an American Jewish couple. This is the first trans-individual to be appointed to the White House staff, although a handful of trans-individuals have worked in the current administration.
Last June, the highest-ranking transgender military veteran attended the Pentagon’s Pride month event. That veteran lived 35 years as a male in the infantry, retired as colonel in 2004, had transitioned to female by 2007, and wore women’s civilian clothes to the Pentagon in 2015. This year that veteran plans to go as a trans-woman in full infantry dress wearing the brass and braid earned as a male soldier.
This is a snap-shot of culture in this election year. I don’t know about you, but I’ll be doing a whole lot of praying! For Georgia Insight, I’m Sue Ella Deadwyler, your Capitol correspondent.
