URGENT ACTION ALERT | July 10th

Urgent: Act Now to Retain U.S. Light Bulbs!

Effective in 2012, federal regulations would require the elimination of 276 versions of the Thomas Edison incandescent light bulb.  If the regulations remain in effect, American-made light bulbs consumers have bought and used since they were invented would no longer be available.  Consumers would be expected to buy and use China-made dangerous, mercury-containing, much more expensive, dimmer fluorescent bulbs that are environmentally hazardous when broken.

H.R. 2417 would repeal that regulation.

ACTION – Ask Georgia Congressmen to vote YES on the “Bulb Act,” H.R. 2417 that could come up for a vote as early as Monday, July 11, 2011.

Call Capitol switchboard at 202 224-3121 or their offices listed below.
