Demoralizing our Kids, Again!

Good morning, Jim.  Despite the election and a super storm, “Mix It Up” day was
observed on October 30th, when over 2,500 schools across the country encouraged
elementary and junior high students to affirm alternate lifestyles.

The attack on Biblical morality in public schools has persisted since the
mid-90s, when a day of silence was created to promote homosexuality in colleges
and universities and soon spread to high schools throughout the country.  Soon,
the Safe Schools Project was implemented in Georgia as the “Sticks and Stones”
movement to stop negative comments about alternate lifestyles.

Anti-bullying policies, rules, regulations and laws became a favorite way to
enforce tolerance of sexual orientations and “coming-out” days were observed in
schools to encourage students to declare their variant sexual preferences to
parents, friends and teachers.  Also in the 1990s, Georgia school counselors
attended a conference entitled, “School is Not a Gay Place to Be.” There, they
learned how to transform each Georgia school into a gay place to be.

When gay-straight alliance clubs surfaced, they were established in high
schools.  Now, students of all ages are targeted for potential participation in
lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, and transgender lifestyles that are
propagated systematically and repeatedly in schools, under the guise of
tolerance.  Any objection is met with charges of bigotry and discrimination,
although Christianity and various religions declare deviant lifestyles to be
immoral and immorality to be a sin.

For eleven years the mix-it-up day has been used to establish the acceptance of
homosexuality in public schools at the earliest possible age, in complete
contradiction of home-taught morality and religious doctrine.

And there’s more!  On National Coming-Out Day observed in October, three groups
– Teach for America; the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network; and the
Trevor Project – partnered on a project that asks teachers to pledge to make
classrooms Safe and Affirming for Everyone by signing the SAFE pledge.  Teachers
that sign the pledge can access variant lifestyle posters and other material for
their classrooms and activities, but the goal of SAFE is not about safety.  Its
goal is to have classrooms affirm and validate the lifestyles of lesbians, gays,
bisexuals and transsexuals.  Keep in mind these facts.  The focus of public
schools has sharply shifted from honoring family values to reversing student
morality.  Add to that the additional shift from academic education to job
training and it’s easy to understand why public school students are confused and
